Newark, DE - Peter Klosiewicz has been named Executive Director of Human Resources for Blood Bank of Delmarva. Peter will provide day-to-day management of the HR department, as well as support and collaborate with others on achieving the Blood Bank's strategic mission. He will also provide insight and content to Blood Bank leaders.

Peter's background encompasses more than twenty years experience in Human Resources at several different companies, including Sanofi-Aventis, AstraZeneca, PriceWaterhouse Cooper and Computer Sciences Corporation. In his previous roles, Peter's accomplishments include implementing new performance management and talent development systems and building training and development delivery for all levels of the organization. As an external consultant, his major focus was on organizational change for large-scale Information Technology implementation projects.

Peter is a Delaware native and attended Salesianum School, the University of Delaware and the University of Virginia. He currently lives in Wilmington, Delaware.

Calling all University of Delaware students, staff members, alumni, friends, and EVERYONE ELSE who gives blood and save lives... you're help is needed!

University of Delaware is looking for 1,400 blood donors to give blood on Wednesday, November 16. There will be four blood drives held throughout campus that day, including in Newark at the Trabant University Center Multipurpose Rooms, Pencader Hall, and Bob Carpenter Center Club, as well as the Goodstay Center Ballroom on the university's Wilmington Campus. Each of these blood drives will be open to the public.

This massive one-day blood drive event is part of the CAA Blood Challenge. UD is going head-to-head with eleven other schools in the Colonial Athletic Association to recruit the most blood donors in one day. They've won the competition in the past but have lost the past five years to Drexel University.

Make an appointment to give blood, and help your hometown university win this competition to save lives! Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome and will be taken as time allows. Blood drive locations and times are below.
