Senior Operations ManagerThe Senior Operations Manager reports to the Director of Donor Services and collaborates with the Senior Blood Collection Manager to assure the effective and efficient operation of the Donor Services Department. The Senior Operations Manager oversees the daily activities of the following positions including but not limited to; Operations Manager, Scheduling Coordinator, Training Supervisor, Technology Specialists, and Technical Writer. This position is responsible for SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) management and consistently providing a level of customer service that exceeds donors' expectations. This is a full-time exempt position based in Newark, Delaware.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- Acquires and maintains the necessary working knowledge of Federal (FDA) and State laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance when representing the organization's services and products.
- Leads projects focused on improvement of Donor Services Administrative activities and processes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Management or related field. Master's degree and/or Six Sigma certification a plus.
- Five or more years of relevant professional experience in a leadership role. Industry knowledge and experience strongly preferred.
- At least five years of professional experience required in the Blood Banking Industry required.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory experience, including performance management, effectively managing competing priorities, multi-tasking, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and management.
- Proficiency in MS office, including Word, Excel and Power Point.

Project Manager – Information Technology Department
The Project Manager directs the development of strategy that supports the Blood Bank's strategic business plan and coordinates this effort across multiple divisions/departments. This is a full-time/exempt position and is based in Newark, Delaware.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading a matrix team that assumes responsibility for strategy and development, including systems and application development, vendor management and legacy systems integration.
- Collaborating with Blood Bank management and colleagues to translate corporate/functional business and information objectives into a strategic/tactical project plan.
- Consulting within the Blood Bank to develop appropriate support for projects from various technology and service departments.
Education and Experience:
- Successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience in Project Management and execution of multiple projects, particularly as a business lead.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- A proven track record of exceptional project management skills, including effectively arranging resources and managing multiple small-to-large projects in a cross-functional environment.
- Extraordinary Customer Service Skills and proven successful leadership abilities

Web Designer/Developer – Information Technology Department
The Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing web infrastructure and applications as well as develop new systems for the Blood Bank of Delmarva. The ideal candidate must display excellent technical skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied and fast paced environment with changing priorities. This is a full-time/exempt position and is based in Newark, Delaware.
Requirements:
- Successful candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related experience.
- Must possess superior skills in current web technologies, create/develop web-based SQL Reports, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, and Object Oriented Development
- A minimum 3 years of web design/development experience.
- Flash video/animation experience is a plus.
- Experience in structured environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
- Previous experience in nonprofit industry a plus.
- The ability to communicate and teach non-technical users a must.
- Extraordinary customer service skills.
