Full Time: Monday – Thursday (2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.)
(Friday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) OR (Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
This individual will manufacture blood products according to cGMP compliant policies and procedures implemented by Blood Bank of Delmarva, Inc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATON:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility competently. - Education equivalent to high school diploma combined with experience and/or training which leads to a basic knowledge of medical laboratory equipment, procedures and techniques performed in a blood center laboratory, quality control procedures, cGMP and regulatory requirements, and recordkeeping requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Ability to identify basic workflow and procedural problems, interpret, communicate, and apply oral and written instructions.
- Ability to use basic data collection techniques.
- Ability to use laboratory equipment such as Compomat G-4 expressors, heat sealers, scales, digital scales, sterile connecting devices, refrigerated centrifuges, blood refrigerators and freezers, REES monitoring software, and tubing strippers.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
This job operates in a professional office environment. Ability to read and interpret blood orders, computerized production data, product labels, operator’s manuals, standard operating procedures, and other forms of documentation. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
