BBD and UD look for a “threepeat” with a win at the 12th annual CAA Blood Challenge
DARE TO DONATE!
This year’s Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Blood Challenge will be held on the University of Delaware (UD) campus on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Students, faculty, staff and the community can give blood at one of four locations. They include:
Trabant Multipurpose Rooms from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Christiana Commons from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Perkins Student Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Bob Carpenter Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Each year, UD goes head-to-head with 11 other schools in the CAA to recruit the most blood donors in one day. UD typically has four blood drives held throughout the Newark campus that day. Each of these blood drives is open to the public.
Last year, Blood Bank of Delmarva and University of Delaware won the CAA Blood Challenge with 1,488 registered donors and 1,232 donors giving blood in one day!
Students, faculty, staff and general public make appointments to give blood, and help their hometown university win this competition to save lives! Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome and are taken as time allows. Check back for more details.
