QUEENSTOWN, Md. – The sixth annual Amy’s Army Blood Drive continued to impress as the traditional event brought in 99 units on Sunday, March 3 to help give Blood Bank of Delmarva a strong start to meteorological spring.

Amy’s Army booked 84 donors, and 18 of them were double red cell donors at this annual blood drive held in memory of the late Amy Stoops Rhodes. The mission of Amy’s Army is to “provide assistance to families who have experienced a sudden personal or family crisis” to continue the legacy of service Amy provided for her community.

Amy’s Army traditionally gives BBD a shot in the arm after the bleak winter subsides.

Way to go, Amy’s Army. Thank you.
