ELKTON, Md. – Terumo Medical Corporation led a global effort to celebrate World Blood Donor Day on Thursday, June 12, hosting blood drives at 13 locations around the world.

They truly put the “world” in World Blood Donor Day, which is observed annually on June 14—falling on a Saturday this year.
“We have Terumo entities in 13 countries participating this week. I have eleven locations in North America doing it today,” said Terumo Occupational Health Nurse Stephanie Eskridge, RN BSN, blood drive coordinator for the quarterly blood drives held within the enterprise, namely Blood Bank of Delmarva. “I was the one who designed the theme, ‘One donation, one mission, one Terumo helping to change the world one donor at a time.”
On June 14, people around the world observe World Blood Donor Day to honor the volunteers who donate blood. Their selfless contributions save lives and strengthen communities. This day is an opportunity to express gratitude and raise awareness about the ongoing need for safe, regular blood donations.
Thank you, Terumo, for celebrating World Blood Donor in an outstanding fashion!
