Thursday, September 21 was World Alzheimer’s Day, and wearing purple was a way to help raise awareness to the disease.

Quality Specialist II Margaret Russ invited Blood Bank of Delmarva colleagues to participate, and a number of associates came through.

“As you know, one of my big passions in life is fighting for the first survivor of Alzheimer’s,” Margaret Russ said. “Great advancements are happening.”

Her father passed away from Alzheimer’s disease on October 29, 14 years ago.

Thanks to BBD Associates who wore purple, including Technical Operations dressed from head to toe in purple. That includes Mandey Miller’s sneakers!
